Deep Rest Retreat Day ‘
Being Peace’
Sunday 27th November 2022
10:30am-4:30pm
@ the Yoga Barn,
South Molton
Imagine having access to a peaceful sanctuary within you?
Imagine deeply unwinding, rebooting your system on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels and reconnecting to your inner purpose and power?
“Rest” rarely features on our to-do lists
….but what if we were to make it a priority?
Perhaps we believe resting is a ‘waste of time’, that it won’t achieve anything, will make us lazy…or worse still, that to rest is self-indulgent.
But what if the opposite were true?
What if giving ourselves permission to rest was the key to us discovering our inner power, resource, and value?
***
I wholeheartedly believe that the time to rest is NOW.
And that all those around you, the world, will benefit from a well-rested you.
But maybe it’s hard to know how to rest…
or perhaps you’ve forgotten how good it actually feels to have a calm well-rested nervous system?
If so I warmly invite you to join me this November for a deep dive into some deep and glorious, healing rest.

What is Deep Rest Meditation?
***
Deep Rest Meditation, a variation of Yoga Nidra, systematically takes our awareness from outer activity towards an inner state of peace, calm, and deep well-being.
Deep Rest Meditation helps us cope with our fast-paced world of constant distraction.
It is a conscious relaxation technique. You can simply lie down and let yourself be guided. The guidance invites us away from the business of the mind into our senses, and into a relaxed, subconscious state of mind.
In this practice you are guided into a sleep state but invited to remain in a semi-awakened state.
It is easy to follow, you don’t need any prior experience to enjoy the benefits of this practice.

These practices are now supported by science in their effectiveness. Yoga Nidra can:
Reduce anxiety and depression
Stimulates healing and tissue repair
Improve concentration and memory
Bring balance to menstrual irregularities
Lower blood pressure and cholesterol
Bring renewed energy and ability to focus
Reduce insomnia
Bring fresh perspective and allows us to align with our deeper values.
